This is a free Beginner Excel - 4-15/16-2013 class offered to the residents of Louisiana by the ACTT program.

This course introduces the basic features of Microsoft Office Excel, a spreadsheet program. The course provides step by step tutorials for working with Excel documents, entering and editing data, formatting a worksheet, performing calculations using formulas and functions.

Target Audience:

  • Individuals who are beginners to Spreadsheets and Microsoft Office Excel.

What do I need to know?

  • Knowledge in application of Mathematical formulas.

  • Overview on using Excel Interface.
  • Working with Excel documents.
  • Entering and Editing Data.

Advanced Certification and Training for Technology (ACTT) courses are being offered to Louisiana citizens at no cost through a grant from the Louisiana Office of Community Development's Disaster Recovery. Coordinated by Louisiana Tech University, the classes are offered quarterly in a variety of venues to support recovery and rebuilding of areas impacted by hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustav and Ike, as well as the long-term recovery of the State's overall economy.
